News Packages

Riverside is a city rich in history, home to iconic landmarks like the Mission Inn and the Peter J. Weber house. This news package explores the importance of preserving these historic sites-- not to halt progress, but to guide change in a way that respects the past. Featuring insights from historic preservation officer Scott Watson and local groups like the Old Riverside Foundation, the story highlights efforts to repurpose historic buildings, promote community awareness, and support local businesses. From the origins of Riverside’s citrus industry to the city’s vibrant neighborhoods, preserving history helps shape Riverside’s future while keeping its unique character alive.

For my final news show, I co-anchored alongside a peer, delivering the live, one-take broadcast with professionalism and clear communication. In addition to anchoring, I produced a key story on FAA pilot check-rides, which involved researching the certification process pilots must undergo, writing the script, filming, and editing the footage. This story was crafted to inform and engage viewers about the rigorous practical exams required for pilot certification. My dual role in both producing and anchoring showcased my ability to manage the full spectrum of news production, from content creation to on-air presentation, resulting in a polished and cohesive final broadcast.
